To set up the MIGRO 38000 433 Mhz Wireless Control System, follow these steps:
1. Install the antenna: Mount the antenna as high as possible, away from obstructions or metal structures. Ensure that the antenna has a good ground connection. The maximum length of the coaxial cable connecting the antenna is 10ft (3.3m).
2. Set the system code switches: The system code switches are labeled 1 to 4, and there is a status switch labeled SW 5. On the master (transmitter) and slave (receiver), ensure that the code switches 1 to 4 match the code set in both devices. Set the status switch SW 5 to the ON position for a match.
3. Set the master and slave modes: On the master (transmitter), set switch SW 7 to the ON position and switch SW 8 to the OFF position. On the slave (receiver), set switch SW 7 to the OFF position and switch SW 8 to the ON position.
4. Test the system: Before final installation, it is recommended to test the system. Ensure that the transmitter and receiver antennas are facing the same vertical position, even if there is no line of sight between them. Do not operate the transmitter or receiver without the antennas.
5. Separate the transmitter and receiver: Keep the transmitter and receiver at least 6 feet (2 meters) apart.
6. Connect to a power source: Connect the MASTER and SLAVE to a DC power source of either 12VDC or 24VDC. Optionally, you can use a DIN power supply (Series 938100) with a power rating of 120/240VA.
7. Check power and communication status: The MASTER and SLAVE have power and carrier status LED indicators. A blinking RUN and T/R LED indicates good communication.
8. Test the relay operation: Close INPUT CH1 with a wire jumper in the transmitter terminal. At the SLAVE controller, the CH1 Red LED should turn on, and the relay should energize. Use a meter to test the closing operation on the relay terminal of the receiver. Repeat this test procedure for each channel.
Note: The relay contact is SPDT rated at 5Amp, with a maximum of 240V pilot duty power drain for each unit. The standby power consumption is 90mA, and when energized, it is 400mA at 12VDC/24VDC.
Important: The MIGRO 38000 433 Mhz Wireless Control System is not to be used in life safety applications.
