To start the TOPMAQ Lawc1150 65hp Petrol Wood Chipper, follow these steps:
1. Position the wood chipper on flat, dry ground and ensure the front wheel is stopped with the brake to prevent the machine from moving.
2. Check that the fuel shut-off valve is in the "ON" position.
3. If the engine is cold, move the choke control lever to the "CHOKE" position. This may not be necessary if the engine is already warm.
4. Move the throttle control lever to the "FAST" position.
5. If the wood chipper has a recoil start, turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Grasp the recoil starter handle and slowly pull until you feel resistance. Let the cord retract slightly, then pull the cord rapidly to start the engine. Usually, one or two pulls are enough to start the engine.
6. If the wood chipper has an electric start, turn and hold the key in the start position until the engine starts, then let the key return to the run position.
7. If the engine is running well, slowly move the choke control lever (if used for a cold engine) back to the "RUN" position.
8. If the wood chipper has not been running and the engine is cold, warm up the engine by running it at half throttle for 3 to 4 minutes, then advance the engine throttle control to the maximum speed.
