Students participating in the NRP programme can expect the following:
1. Independent study support package: Students will have access to online module assignments designed to develop essential professional, data, digital, communication, and research thinking skills. These assignments are completed at the student's own pace before starting the research collaboration with a placement provider.
2. Collaboration with a knowledge expert: Students will work closely with a knowledge expert on a research question related to STEM. This collaboration will involve activities set by the placement provider, such as analyzing research papers, conducting experiments, and data analysis. Students will communicate with their placement provider through email, video conferences, and in-person meetings.
3. Timetable of optional supplementary workshops and webinars: Students can participate in additional online workshops and webinars to further develop their STEM career aspirations and gain insights from professionals. These activities may cover topics like Python programming language and STEM-related higher education and employment.
