Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the JANSKA RHW-3052 Wall Mount Ducted Range Hood:
1. Prepare the location: Make sure there is proper clearance within the ceiling or walls for the exhaust vent. Disconnect the power. Ensure that you have a minimum of 6" round or 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular duct to maintain maximum airflow efficiency. Place a protective covering over the countertop or range to prevent damage.
2. Determine the installation location: Measure the distance between the stove top and the bottom of the range hood. A distance between 28" to 31" is recommended. Mark the locations of the hanging bracket holes on the wall, ensuring they are level.
3. Install the wall anchors: Drill two holes in the marked region and insert the two wall anchors provided. Hand-fasten two type "M" screws with gaskets into the wall anchors, leaving a small portion of the screws remaining outside of the wall.
4. Hang the hood body: Raise the hood body and hang it onto the screws on the wall. Ensure that the hood is level and not tilted.
5. Install the top bar: Align and install the top bar close to the ceiling. Make sure the top bar is in line with the hanging bracket of the range hood below and its height isn't exceeding the maximum height of the exhaust duct cover.
6. Connect the duct: Connect the duct to the adaptor on the hood body and seal the connection with foil tape or duct tape. Calculate the height of the duct tube and extend it approximately 6" longer than required. Connect the lower end of the duct tube to the range hood and the upper end to the vent system.
7. Install the exhaust duct cover: Fix the bottom half of the exhaust duct cover to the hood body using the provided screws. Slide the top half of the exhaust duct cover into the bottom half and extend it until it reaches the top bar. Fix the top half of the exhaust duct cover to the top bar using two screws on each side.
8. Reinstall the baffle filters: Reinstall the baffle filters into the range hood.
Once the installation is complete, you can refer to the user manual for instructions on operating the range hood and maintaining it properly.
Please note that these instructions are general guidelines, and it is recommended to consult with a professional installer for the best type of mounting hardware and support system based on your wall construction.
