To change the saw blade on the BOSCH GSA 18V-LI Cordless Reciprocating Saw, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the battery is removed from the power tool before starting any work.
2. Wear protective gloves to prevent any injuries from the sharp and potentially hot saw blade.
3. Check that the saw blade receptacle is free of any material residue, such as wood or metal chips.
4. Push the locking sleeve for the saw blade (located on the side of the saw blade receptacle) in the direction of the arrow until it is locked in the open position. You should hear a clicking sound.
5. Insert the new saw blade into the saw blade receptacle, making sure it is securely seated. Pull on the saw blade to check if it is properly locked in place.
6. If the saw blade is not locked, rotate the locking sleeve by approximately 90° in the direction of the arrow to unlock it, and then push the saw blade into the receptacle again.
7. Once the new saw blade is securely in place, release the locking sleeve. It should rotate back to its original position and lock the saw blade.
8. Check that the saw blade is seated securely by pulling on it gently. A loose saw blade can fall out and cause injuries.
9. The saw blade is now ready for use. Remember to always wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety guidelines while operating the reciprocating saw.
