To install apps on your Janitza device using the GridVis App Management Assistant, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your Janitza device has firmware version 5.000 or higher. It is important to keep the firmware up to date.
2. Launch the App Management Assistant by clicking on the App Management icon in the toolbar or selecting "App Management" under the "Extras" menu.
3. In the "Device selection" window, select one or more devices from the project in which you want to install apps. You can use the search function to find a specific device. Additional information about the selected devices will be displayed when you hover over an entry.
4. Confirm the device selection by clicking "Next".
5. In the "Action selection" window, choose the action you want to perform (install or remove) using the corresponding button.
6. After selecting the action, the "App selection" window will appear. Here, you can search for apps using the search field or upload customer-specific or for-purchase apps using the "Open File" dialog.
7. Select the app you want to install or remove from the available apps list. Apps that require payment will be marked with a symbol and need to be purchased before installation.
8. If installing an app, click "Next" to confirm the app selection and then click the "Install" button to start the installation. Confirm the installation query with "YES".
9. If removing an app, click "Next" to confirm the app selection and then click the "Remove" button to start the uninstallation. Confirm the uninstallation query with "YES".
10. The progress indicator will show the execution of the action. Once the installation or uninstallation is complete, a check mark will appear on the device line.
11. Click the "Done" button to close the assistant.
Note: If you need to update an app to a newer version, you should first remove the older version and then install the new one.
