To calibrate the RW 250 Series Onboard Load Scale Exterior Analog, please follow the steps outlined in the instruction manual:
1. Ensure that your vehicle is fully loaded. For best results, calibrate with a loaded weight within 1500lbs or 750kgs of your typical axle group weight. Do not calibrate when the vehicle is empty.
2. Using a certified in-ground scale, obtain a loaded weight for the axle group attached to the gauge.
3. Park on a level surface, shift the transmission to neutral, and set the parking brakes. Chock the wheels to prevent unexpected vehicle movement.
4. Release the parking brakes.
5. Briefly dump the air from the suspension and allow the Height Control Valve (HCV) to refill the system. Make sure the HCV has fully inflated the air bags before proceeding.
6. Open the vent on the top of the gauge by switching the yellow tab to "open". This allows for venting of the gauge. For more information on venting the gauge, please refer to Appendix A in the instruction manual.
7. Using a flathead screwdriver, turn the calibration xxxx on the dial face until the gauge matches the certified axle group weight obtained from the in-ground scale.
8. Move the vent tab to the "closed" position.
For more detailed instructions and information, please refer to the "Calibration/Operation" section of the instruction manual provided with the product.
