To descale the First Austria FA-5411-5 Water Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Fill the kettle up to the "MAX" mark with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
2. Switch on the kettle and wait for it to automatically switch off.
3. Let the vinegar and water mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
4. The next morning, discard the mixture.
5. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the "MAX" mark and boil it again.
6. Discard this boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
7. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
It is recommended to descale the kettle at least twice a year, or more frequently depending on the water hardness in your area and the frequency of kettle usage. Descaling helps remove limescale deposits that can accumulate on the heating element and affect the kettle's performance.
