To install system memory (RAM) in the Intel NUC11TNKi3 NUC 11 Pro Kit Slim Mini PC, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have the correct type of memory for your NUC. The NUC11TNKi3 supports 260-pin DDR4 SO-DIMM memory modules with a voltage of 1.2V. The supported frequencies are 2133/2400/3200 MHz, and the memory should be non-ECC.
2. Before starting, ensure that you have disconnected the computer from its power source and any network connections.
3. Open the chassis of the NUC by unscrewing the four corner screws on the bottom of the chassis and lifting the cover.
4. Locate the two memory slots on the motherboard. If you plan to install only one memory module, insert it into the lower memory socket.
5. Align the small notch at the bottom edge of the SO-DIMM module with the key in the socket.
6. Insert the bottom edge of the SO-DIMM module into the socket, making sure it is fully inserted.
7. Apply gentle pressure on the outer edge of the SO-DIMM module until the retaining clips snap into place. Ensure that the clips are firmly in place.
To remove a SO-DIMM module, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the computer from its power source and any network connections.
2. Open the chassis of the NUC by unscrewing the four corner screws on the bottom of the chassis and lifting the cover.
3. Gently spread the retaining clips at each end of the SO-DIMM socket. This will release the SO-DIMM module.
4. Hold the SO-DIMM module by the edges and lift it away from the socket. Store it in an anti-static package if needed.
5. Reinstall and reconnect any parts that were removed or disconnected to reach the SO-DIMM sockets.
6. Close the chassis of the NUC by aligning the cover and tightening the screws by hand to avoid over-tightening.
