To install or replace the batteries in the RYOBI ESF5002 Whole Stud Detector, follow these steps:
1. Lift the bottom of the battery cover and remove the cover from the product.
2. Install two AAA batteries according to the polarity indicators.
3. Replace the battery cover, making sure it is secure before use.
4. Do not use the product without the battery cover installed.
Note: The unit comes with preinstalled batteries, but you need to remove the red pull tab to activate them before first use. Also, remember to remove the batteries for storage when the device will not be used for long periods of time.
