To use the T3 microphones with the Lightspeed audio system, follow these steps:
1. Tap-to-Talk: To begin sharing through the audio system, tap the power button on a T3 microphone. The mode button will turn blue to indicate that the microphone is broadcasting live. You can wear the microphone around your neck or use it as a hand-held pass-around microphone.
2. Switching Microphones: If you want to talk into a different T3 microphone, simply tap the power button on that microphone. The mode light will turn blue, indicating that the new microphone is active. The previously connected T3 microphone will be disconnected, and its mode light will turn back to white.
3. Muting or Disconnecting: To mute or disconnect your T3 microphone from the audio system, tap the power button again. The status and power lights will turn white.
4. Charging: The T3 microphones need to be charged on a nightly basis. Place the T3 microphones into the charging slot, and the power light will turn red to indicate that charging is in process. When the microphones are fully charged, the power light will turn green.
5. Out of Range: If a microphone is out of range, it will automatically shut off after 30 minutes of trying to reconnect. Once you are back in the classroom or within range, simply press and hold the power button on the microphone to power it up again.
6. Pairing: The T3 microphones arrive pre-paired with your Lightspeed instructional audio system. If you ever need to pair new components, follow the pairing process outlined in the manual. Point the microphones at the system, press and hold the power and volume up buttons for 5 seconds until the Mic 1 and Mic 2 status lights start flashing, then release the buttons and let the pairing process finish.
