To connect your AprilAire S86W MUPR WiFi Thermostat to your home network, follow these steps:
1. Download the AprilAire Wi-Fi Thermostat App from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
2. Open the app and tap "Create Account". Enter a valid email address and choose a password for your AprilAire User Account. Tap "Create Account" to proceed.
3. Fill in your personal information and tap "Continue".
4. Enter your ZIP or postal code for your thermostat's location and select a world time zone. This ensures access to local weather data and correct time on your thermostat.
5. Select "Add a Device" and choose the thermostat model.
6. Follow the directions on the app to prepare the thermostat. You should see a specific screen on the thermostat.
7. Select "Open Network Settings" on the thermostat to open your AprilAire settings screen.
8. Look for a Wi-Fi network with "AprilAire" in the title in your list of network options. Tap that network (thermostat) to proceed.
9. Enter the 8-digit password displayed on the thermostat screen and select "OK" to continue.
10. Return to the AprilAire app. Note that this step may take up to one minute to complete.
11. Select your home network from the list provided.
12. Enter the password for your home Wi-Fi network and tap "Continue".
13. Tap "Select Location" and choose "Home" as the default location or enter a custom location name.
14. Assign your new device to a room or enter a custom room name.
15. Congratulations! You have successfully registered your thermostat. Tap on the tile to open the thermostat control screen.
16. You can now access and control your thermostat from your mobile device.
