The installation of the SOLITEK Pv Solar Panel Mono 360w Black should be done carefully following the instructions provided in the manual. Here are the key steps for installation:
1. Select a suitable location: Choose a location where the module will receive maximum sunlight and is not shaded at any time of the day. Ensure that the module is not installed near equipment or in areas where flammable gases can be generated or collected.
2. Mounting methods: The module can be mounted using bolts or clamping hardware. If using bolts, attach and support the module with four M8 stainless steel bolts through the indicated mounting holes. Torque on the clamp bolt should be in the range of 8-10 Nm. If using clamping hardware, use a minimum of four module clamps, two on each long frame side, in the general clamping areas denoted by the wide arrows on the drawing.
3. Grounding: Proper grounding of the module frames is essential. All module frames must be properly grounded according to local electric codes and regulations. Use a bolted connection with an M4 or greater xxxx size, a star washer or serrated xxxx to penetrate nonconductive coatings, and stainless steel screws and star washers. The grounding xxxx should go through all the connecting elements and protrude outside by two threads. Grounding resistance of the grounding structure should meet local regulations.
4. Electrical installation: Ensure that all electrical connections are made according to local regulations and standards. Use qualified cables and connectors for serial electrical connections. Additional cables used should be qualified for the expected maximum current, maximum voltage, and environmental conditions. The PV-DC connectors must never be disconnected under load. Refer to relevant standards to determine over current, conductor ampacity, and size requirements.
5. Maintenance: Regular maintenance is recommended to ensure optimum performance of the module. Clean the glass surface of the module as necessary using water and a soft sponge or cloth. Check the electrical and mechanical connections periodically to ensure they are clean, secure, and undamaged. Any problems should be investigated by qualified personnel.
