To clean the OBH NORDICA NB552DS0 Heritage 1.7L Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the appliance and let it cool down.
2. Clean the kettle with a damp sponge or cloth. Do not immerse the kettle, its base, cord, or electric plug in water or any other liquid.
3. Do not use scouring pads for cleaning purposes.
4. To clean the filter, remove it from the kettle and rinse it under a running tap if it is wet. If it is dry, gently brush it. If scale is not detaching, it may need descaling.
5. Descaling is recommended once a month or more often if you live in a hard water area. You can use commercial white vinegar or citric acid to descale the kettle. Follow the instructions provided in the manual for descaling.
6. After descaling, empty the kettle and rinse it 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
7. Soak the filter in white vinegar or diluted citric acid to descale it.
8. Never use a descaling method other than what is recommended in the manual.
