To clean the XOPIZZA1 Wood Fired Pizza-Hearth Oven, follow these steps:
1. Cleaning the Exterior: Use warm soapy water and a mild non-abrasive cleaner to clean the exterior of the oven. Avoid using scrubbing pads or scrapers that can scratch the finish.
2. Cleaning the Interior: Periodically check the chimney for obstructions and remove any ash or soot buildup. After extinguishing the fire, use a metal shovel to carefully place the ashes in a metal bucket or fireproof container. Leave the ashes outside for 2-3 days to ensure they are completely extinguished before disposing of them according to local regulations.
3. Cleaning the Oven Floor: Move some of the hot embers directly over the area that requires cleaning and allow the fire to burn for several minutes. Then, sweep the fire back into place on the left side of the oven and sweep the hearth clean using a long handle brush with brass or copper bristles. Avoid using steel wire brushes, wet cloths, or natural or plastic fiber brushes to clean the oven floor.
