To install the ten Haaft Oyster CONNECT LTE and WiFi Antenna, please follow the instructions provided in the user manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the vehicle roof is appropriate for installation and meets the necessary strength and stability requirements.
2. Check that you have received all the necessary components included in the scope of supply, such as the Outdoor Unit, Indoor Unit, mounting plate, specific data cable, power supply cable, LAN cable, and the operating manual.
3. If you need to insert a SIM card, remove the Outdoor Unit from the mounting plate by loosening the four screws. Insert the SIM card and then fix the Outdoor Unit back onto the mounting plate using the four screws.
4. Connect the system to the 12/24-V onboard electric system of your vehicle. The voltage must be at least 9V and should not exceed 32V. The minimum cross-section of the wires connecting the satellite system to the power supply should be 0.75 mm². Make sure to protect the power line on the battery side with a fuse rated at 3 Amps.
5. If you are installing the antenna in a camper trailer without a reliable or battery-supported 12-V power supply, you will need to connect the system to the mains grid via a suitable 220 V/12 V power converter. Use only electronically regulated fixed-voltage converters with a rated voltage of 12V to 24V and a minimum continuous power output of 1 Amp.
6. Depending on your vehicle's setup, you may need to secure the mounting plate using the supplied screws in addition to the adhesive sealing compound.
7. Verify the roadworthiness of your vehicle before each use, as required by road traffic regulations.
