To charge the battery pack for the Einhell TE-CD 18/40 Li Cordless Hammer Drill and Screwdriver, please follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery pack from the handle by pressing the pushlock buttons downwards.
2. Check that your mains voltage matches the voltage marked on the rating plate of the battery charger.
3. Insert the power plug of the charger into a mains socket outlet. The green LED on the charger will start flashing.
4. Push the battery pack onto the battery charger.
5. The charger will start charging the battery pack in quick charge mode. The charging times will be shown directly on the charger.
6. Once the battery pack is fully charged, all three LEDs on the battery capacity indicator will be lit.
7. If only two or one LED is lit, the battery still has an adequate remaining charge.
8. If one LED blinks, the battery is empty and needs to be recharged.
9. If all LEDs blink, the battery pack has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Do not use or charge a defective battery pack.
10. To remove the battery pack from the charger, simply slide it off.
Please note that it is important to charge the battery pack promptly when you notice a drop in performance. Never allow the battery pack to become fully discharged, as this can cause it to develop a defect.
