To test the MIGRO 160 Wireless Control system before final installation, follow these steps:
1. Place the system on a bench for proper setup and operation.
2. Check the operating frequency. Refer to the transmitter and receiver manual for instructions on selecting the frequency. Usually, the frequency is already preset by the manufacturer to match the receiver.
3. The numeric keypad on the transmitter is used to assign a channel to be activated at the receiver. For example, pressing "1" on the keypad will activate Channel 1, "2" for Channel 2, and so on.
4. Make sure both the transmitter and receiver are turned on.
5. To test the system, push and hold the PT (Portable Transmitter) button. Then, momentarily (for 3 seconds) press the desired channel on the keypad and release the PT button.
6. On the receiver, a LED and relay will energize momentarily (pulse) on the selected channel.
Note: The receiver has an Output Mode Switch that can be set to "Momentary" or "Latch." In Momentary mode, the pulse interval is 3 seconds. In Latch mode, the pulse is ON for the first pulse and OFF for the second pulse. To set the Output mode, follow these steps: 1) Turn off the power, 2) Select the desired setting, and 3) Turn on the power.
Please be aware that radio control equipment should not be used for life safety purposes. For any project, it is recommended to consult with a licensed professional.
Regarding the FCC Note, you can select your own frequency to operate the system. However, there may be restrictions imposed by the FCC if the chosen operating frequency is not within the free MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) band.
