1. Start by removing the four Philips screws from the speaker and set them aside in a safe place.
2. Remove the contents from inside the enclosure and open the hardware pack to confirm the quantities and tools required.
3. Gather the recommended tools, including a #2 Philips Screwdriver, 5mm Allen Wrench, 14mm Wrench, 10mm Socket, Ratchet, Socket Extension, 9mm Drill Bit (included), Drill, Center Punch, Hammer, Tape, Wire Strippers, Scissors, and Rivet Nut Setter (optional).
4. Cut out the template provided along the dashed lines using scissors or a straight edge and utility knife.
5. Position the template on the inside of the swing gate, aligning the left and right cross-hairs on the template to the register marks on the trim panel. Make sure the template is straight by confirming that the horizontal line on the template follows the horizontal groove on the plastic trim panel. Securely tape the template to the swing gate.
6. Use a center punch to mark the four mounting locations on the template. Remove the template and drill pilot holes at the marked locations using a 9mm drill bit.
7. Remove the swing gate trim panel by releasing the retaining clips along the bottom and swinging it up to release the locking tabs along the top.
8. If a rivet nut setter is not available, follow the provided directions for each of the four holes to install the rivet nuts.
9. In the two lower threaded inserts, install the L1 brackets using the B2 allen bolts. Apply the L2 Foam Bracket Pads to the brackets.
10. Run a suitable length of speaker wire into the swing gate following the factory wire harness. Connect the speaker wire to the terminals, ensuring the positive (+) wire is connected to the red terminal and the negative (-) wire is connected to the black terminal. Route the speaker wire in the channel.
11. Align the speaker enclosure on the L brackets and loosely install the indicated hardware into the upper mounting holes from inside the enclosure. Install the two B2 Allen Head Bolts through the L brackets and into the bottom of the enclosure. Once all the bolts are threaded, tighten all hardware.
12. Place the sheet of poly-fill inside the enclosure along the back and side areas.
13. Connect the speaker leads inside the enclosure to either of the speaker terminals on the speaker, making sure to keep the pre-installed speaker terminal jumper wires connected.
14. Align the speaker and install eight P1 screws to secure the speaker.
