The Propeller FLiP Microcontroller Module can be powered in two ways. First, you can power it through the USB port of your computer by connecting it with a USB A to micro-B cable. The module will request permission to draw up to 500 mA from the USB port. If granted, the green Power LED will turn on, indicating that the module is powered. Alternatively, you can power the module using an external 5-9 VDC power source by connecting it to the VIN pin on the module. Both power sources can be connected at the same time. The module also has a powerful onboard 3.3 V, 1800 mA switching supply with short-circuit and over-current fault protection.
Please refer to the "Power and Current Options" section in the user guide for more details and specifications on power options.
