The installation process for the Arctic Seismic Anchoring Systems varies depending on the specific type of anchoring system being used. Here are the general steps for each type:
1. NO FLOOR: CONCEALED ANGLE BRACKET ANCHOR:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the interior wall of the wall panel.
- Cut and install 3" x 3" x 16 ga. galvanized steel angles around the perimeter.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3" long xxxx anchors or stainless steel TEK screws for spacing every 23" or 16" around the perimeter.
- Apply two Ø1/4" beads of butyl sealant caulking under the walls.
2. NO FLOOR: THERMAL BREAK - CONCEALED ANGLE BRACKET ANCHOR:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the interior wall of the wall panels.
- Cut and install 2-1/2" x 3" x 16 ga. galvanized steel angles around the perimeter.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3-1/2" stainless steel lag bolts or stainless steel TEK screws for spacing every 12" or 16" around the perimeter.
- Apply two Ø1/4" beads of butyl sealant caulking under the walls.
3. NO FLOOR: THERMAL BREAK - EXPOSED ANGLE BRACKET ANCHOR:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the interior wall of the wall panels.
- Cut and install 2-1/2" x 3" x 16 ga. galvanized steel angles around the perimeter.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3" long xxxx anchors or stainless steel TEK screws for spacing every 23" or 16" around the perimeter.
- Apply two Ø1/4" beads of butyl sealant caulking under the walls.
4. NO FLOOR: EMBEDDED WALLS ANGLE BRACKET ANCHOR:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the interior wall of the wall panel.
- Cut and install 3" x 3" x 16 ga. galvanized steel angles around the perimeter.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3" long xxxx anchors or stainless steel TEK screws for spacing every 23" or 16" around the perimeter.
5. WITH FLOOR: THROUGH FLOOR BOLTING SYSTEM:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the bottom of the floor panel.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3" long xxxx anchors for spacing every 23" around the perimeter.
6. WITH FLOOR: EMBEDDED FLOOR - THROUGH FLOOR BOLTING SYSTEM:
- Install foamed-in-place galvanized steel backing on the bottom of the floor panel.
- Use Ø3/8" x 3" long xxxx anchors for spacing every 23" around the perimeter.
Please note that these are general instructions, and it is important to refer to the specific details and guidelines provided in the Arctic Seismic Anchoring Systems User Manual for your project. Additionally, if your project requires additional engineering or non-standard seismic details, it is recommended to contact Arctic for a separate quotation.
