To install the CyberPower Power Management Software on your Linux system, please follow these steps:
1. Download the installation package from the CyberPower website (www.cyberpower.com) based on your system's architecture (DEBIAN, RPM, or TAR).
2. Open the terminal and navigate to the directory where the installation package is located.
3. Run the installation command based on your package type:
- For DEBIAN: dpkg -i install-file-name.deb
- For RPM: rpm -ivh install-file-name.rpm
- For TAR: tar -xzvf install-file-name.tar.gz && cd powerpanel-ver && ./install.sh
4. If you are using an X Window desktop, you can also install the software by opening the file explorer, locating the installation package, and double-clicking it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. After the installation is finished, a message "Installation accomplished!" will be displayed in the terminal, and the PowerPanel daemon will start monitoring the UPS immediately.
Note: Replace "install-file-name" with the actual name of the installer you downloaded from the website, such as "CyberPower_PPL_Linux+64bit+(deb)_v1.4.1".
For more detailed information, including copyright, deployment instructions, installation guide, license agreement, release notes, and user manual, you can find these files in the directory /usr/share/doc/powerpanel.
If you encounter any issues during the installation, you can refer to the "deploy-guide" file for troubleshooting instructions or contact CyberPower support for assistance.
