To install the PHILIPS and TEMRO EVOCHARGE Concealed 4 Inch Pedestal, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse and verify that the power is off before wiring.
2. Ensure that the location where the pedestal is to be installed is free from underground pipelines or electrical equipment. Also, check that the input power wires are not frayed, have broken insulation, or any other signs of damage. If there is any damage, do not use the product.
3. The EVSE charging station and electrical wiring should be installed by an electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Make sure to run dedicated branch circuits (one breaker per EVSE charging station) as per NEC 625 and local building codes.
4. Connect the pedestal to a grounding circuit compliant with local building codes to ensure safe operation.
5. Handle the parts with care and always use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) during the installation.
6. Mount the pedestal in parking spaces or parking garages with appropriate anti-collision protection as per local building codes.
7. To ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for accessible design guidelines, refer to the Code of Federal Regulations Document 28 CFR Part 36, Sections 4.2 and 4.4.
