To install the Cycle Gear 250CC Engineering Skid Plate, follow these steps:
1. Take the skid plate and insert the aluminum spacers into the rubber grommets. The shorter spacers go in the front two holes, while the taller spacers go in the back two holes. Insert all spacers from the outside facing inward.
2. Install the front mounting bracket onto the skid plate, ensuring that the bracket is facing the correct direction with the "front" facing the front of the skid plate. Thread two of the provided M6x25 bolts through the front spacers and into the bracket. Leave these bolts loose for now.
3. Remove the OEM plastic skid plate using an 8mm T-Handle or socket. There are two bolts towards the front on each side of the frame and two bolts in the back underneath the rear of the footpegs.
4. If you are running the Enduro Engineering Linkage Guard, now is the time to install it.
5. Install strips of the provided foam tape anywhere that the skid plate will come in contact with the frame.
6. Hold the skid plate up to the bottom of the frame and line up the front bracket with the OEM skid plate mounting holes. Thread in the two supplied 6x35 bolts, but leave them loose for now.
7. Hold the back of the skid plate tight to the frame so that the skid plate holes line up with the OEM mounting holes under the footpegs. Make sure the aluminum spacer slides into the recess of the frame.
8. Using the provided M6x25 bolts, thread them through the rear spacers into the frame. Tighten these bolts using an 8mm T-Handle or socket.
9. Revisit the four front mounting bolts and tighten them at this time.
10. Now you can enjoy your next ride with the Cycle Gear 250CC Engineering Skid Plate installed.
