To set up the mySugr Bolus Calculator, follow these steps:
1. Open the mySugr Logbook app and create a new entry screen by selecting the '+' button.
2. Enter your current blood sugar value and/or intended carbohydrate intake.
3. Tap the "Calculate" button in the Bolus Calculator field.
4. If prompted, enter the activation code provided by your healthcare professional. If not prompted, you can proceed with the setup.
5. Set up a passcode, touch ID, or face ID on your phone to ensure only you can configure or change your Bolus Calculator settings.
6. Answer a series of questions about your personalized settings, including target blood glucose, carbohydrate to insulin ratio, insulin correction factor, insulin acting time, and other parameters. These parameters should be provided by your healthcare professional.
7. Review and confirm your settings every three months to ensure they still fit your diabetes therapy.
8. Customize the entry screen by tapping the "Customize cells" button within the mySugr Logbook. You can add/remove and move fields as desired.
9. Save your entry to record the confirmed insulin dose or carbohydrate suggestion in the corresponding fields of the mySugr Logbook.
