To properly set up the SPORTS ATTACK Crick Attack Cricket Bowling Machine, follow these steps:
1. Install the rear leg: Roll Crick Attack into position at the bowlers end and install the rear leg by pushing it into the socket and locking it with the push button.
2. Tilt Crick Attack forward: Tilt Crick Attack forward until it rests on the throwing wheel guard.
3. Insert the front legs: Insert the two front legs into the front sockets in the undercarriage. These front legs also have locking push buttons.
4. Lift Crick Attack onto the rear leg: Walk around to the front of Crick Attack, with your back to home plate, grasp the wheel guards, and lift Crick Attack up and over the front legs. Set it gently onto the rear leg.
5. Position Crick Attack: Position Crick Attack so that the rear leg is level with the stumps. Sight down the ball chute and adjust the swing control to point directly at home plate. Make sure the horizontal swivel lock remains tight.
6. Unlock the travel lock: Turn the handle of the elevation control counter-clockwise until the bar of the travel lock snaps back out of the way.
7. Adjust the throwing head: Turn the handle of the elevation control clockwise to raise the throwing head to the desired height. Start with a 10-turn adjustment clockwise and fine-tune from there.
8. Check for completeness and condition: Ensure that the horizontal swivel lock is secured, throwing wheels are tight on the motor shafts, and the wheel guard and ball chute are securely fastened to the throwing head.
9. Connect to power: Turn off all speed controls, set them to "0", and then connect Crick Attack to a properly grounded electrical receptacle. Make sure the on/off switch is turned off before plugging in.
10. Test and adjust: Set the speed control dials to "4" and feed a ball down the chute to test the machine's performance. Adjust the swing, height, and speed as needed to achieve the desired results.
