To install the UBIQUITI RD-5G31-AC Parabolic Antenna, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary tools and equipment, including a 5 GHz Rocket radio (sold separately), a 16 mm or 5/8" wrench, and a 24 mm or 15/16" wrench.
2. Use shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling for all wired Ethernet connections and ground it through the AC ground of the PoE.
3. It is recommended to use industrial-grade, shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti to protect your network from outdoor environments and ESD events. For more details, visit ui.com/toughcable.
4. Carefully handle the Dish Antenna with Radome to avoid deformations that may reduce its effectiveness.
5. Mount the antenna using the included Universal Pole Mount, RocketM Bracket, and Weatherproof RF Jumpers.
6. Ensure compliance with safety notices, such as using only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories and avoiding installation in locations that can be submerged by water or during electrical storms.
