To install the , please follow these steps:
1. Determine the installation method: The blinds can be installed either as a face fit or a reveal fit. Face fit refers to mounting the blinds on the front of the architrave or wall, while reveal fit involves mounting the blinds inside the window reveal.
2. Check the measurements: Verify that the width and drop sizes of the blinds match your original order. Each blind is marked to indicate the room location, as per your order form, to assist in establishing the correct fitting location of multiple blind orders.
3. Prepare the blinds: Lay out the blinds at their installation location and remove any protective packaging. Untangle the operating chain from the shipping position.
4. Install the brackets: Using a screwdriver, remove the supplied installation brackets from the top of the pelmet. Evenly space and xxxx the brackets along the front of the architrave or wall for even load-bearing distribution. The end brackets should be mounted no further than 200mm from the end of the blind.
5. Mount the pelmet: Angle the pelmet slightly downwards while placing the middle lip of the pelmet onto the front of the bracket clip. Straighten the pelmet in an upwards motion until it snaps into place. Engage all brackets working from one side to the other. Check that each bracket is secure in place before moving to the next. Wipe any fingerprints off the pelmet if necessary.
6. Raising and lowering the blind: After installing using the chain, draw the blind up and down twice to settle the blind after transportation and to check that the fabric is not rubbing against any obstacles. The chain should be pulled straight up or down in a vertical motion to prevent fabric damage and ensure even lifting.
7. Child safety device: Install the child safety device by ensuring the chain is tangle-free and mounting it to a location that keeps the chain in a straight line down from the control mechanism. Use screws to fix each cleat or tensioning device in a place that is out of reach of children.
8. Maintenance and cleaning: Regularly remove surface dust gently with a clean dry soft cloth, feather duster, or soft brush. For stains and smudges, use lukewarm water and mild detergent on a sponge. Avoid rubbing the fabric vigorously. Do not use white spirits, methylated spirits, or dry-cleaning solvent. Test any cleaners on an inconspicuous area first.
