To install the betta Roller Blinds with Vogue Pelmet, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary tools: spirit level, steel measuring tape, carpenter's level, power or battery drill & bits, flat blade and Phillips head screwdrivers, and a screwdriver to remove brackets.
2. Ensure you have received all the required components for each roller blind ordered, including installation brackets, an intermediary bracket (if applicable), child safety tensioner, and installation gloves.
3. Wear clean, soft cotton gloves or the rubber gloves provided to avoid marking the fabrics during installation.
4. Determine the correct anchorage method for your mounting area (e.g., wall or architrave) to ensure it can support the weight of the blind and its operation.
5. For face fit installation:
- Check the marked width and drop sizes on the headbox against your original order.
- Lay out the blinds at their intended location and remove the protective packaging.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the installation brackets from the top of the pelmet.
- Untangle the operating chain from the shipping position.
- xxxx the brackets evenly along the front of the architrave or wall, ensuring even load bearing distribution. The end brackets should be mounted no further than 200mm from the end of the blind.
- Check that all brackets are straight and level.
- Angle the pelmet slightly downwards and place the middle lip onto the front bracket clip. Straighten the pelmet in an upwards motion until it snaps into place.
- Engage all brackets from one side to the other, ensuring each bracket is secure.
- Wipe any fingerprints off the pelmet if necessary.
6. For reveal fit installation:
- Follow the same steps as for face fit installation, but instead of mounting the brackets on the architrave or wall, mount them along the reveal.
- Angle the pelmet downwards and place the middle lip onto the front bracket clip. Straighten the pelmet upwards until it snaps into place.
- Engage all brackets from one side to the other, ensuring each bracket is secure.
- Wipe any fingerprints off the pelmet if necessary.
7. After installation, raise and lower the blind using the chain to settle the blind and check for any fabric rubbing against obstacles.
8. Install the child safety device by ensuring the chain is tangle-free and mounting it in a straight line down from the control mechanism. Use screws to fix the cleat or tensioning device in a place out of reach of children.
9. Ensure the chain does not form a loop with a circumference equal to or greater than 220mm, as per child safety regulations.
10. Refer to the maintenance and cleaning instructions provided in the manual for regular care of the blinds.
