To check and inspect the Housegard powder extinguisher, follow these steps:
1. When unpacking the extinguisher, ensure that the manometer needle points in the green sector. This indicates that the pressure of the extinguisher is at a satisfactory level.
2. Check that the safety pin is mounted and sealed. The safety pin is used to secure the lever and prevent accidental discharge.
3. Make sure that the hose is mounted. If the hose is not attached, you will need to attach it. Note that this step does not apply to the 2 kg model.
4. Perform a visual inspection of the fire extinguisher to ensure it is intact and without visible damage.
It is important to regularly self-monitor the extinguisher by checking its location, ensuring it is intact, and verifying that the manometer needle is in the green sector. If any parts of the extinguisher have been used, it must be recharged by an authorized service center, even if only partially discharged.
