To install the battery in the Competition Electronics CEI-4730 Electronic Shot ProTimer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the unit.
2. Use a screwdriver or coin to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert a 9-volt Alkaline or Lithium battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment securely.
5. The ProTimer will briefly display a sign-on message and then show the home screen.
Note: It is important to use Alkaline or Lithium batteries (not carbon) due to the power demand of the buzzer and display backlighting.
