To install the FrSky ASS70 ADV High Precision Airspeed Sensor on your aircraft, please follow these steps:
1. Assemble the pitot tube with the circuit board into the AirSpeed Sensor. Make sure the tubing is securely attached and there are no loose connections.
2. Position the pitot tube on your aircraft's wing. The static holes on the pitot tube should extend at least 13mm past the wing's leading edge or any other obstructions. The farther out the tube is placed, the better. This ensures that the static holes and pitot pickup are in undisturbed air.
3. For planes, avoid placing the tube directly in the prop-wash, as this can result in erroneous readings. The best place to install the tube is on the leading edge of the wing, several inches out from the fuselage.
4. Connect the sensor to the receiver's Smart Port.
5. Install the FrSky Smart Port AirSpeed Sensor on an appropriate surface of the aircraft that is away from water, vibration, or fuel.
Please refer to the provided manual for visual illustrations and additional information on the installation process.
