To connect the Miro Canvas instrument to the internet, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a networked computer with Google Chrome (browser version 75.x or later) and a local area network connectivity supporting a speed of 100 Mb/s via an RJ-45 shielded Ethernet cable or 802.11a/b/g/n compatible Wi-Fi wireless network.
2. If you are using an Ethernet connection, plug in an Ethernet cord to the instrument and toggle off Wi-Fi on the touchscreen Settings menu. If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, connect the Wi-Fi antenna and toggle on Wi-Fi on the touchscreen Settings menu.
3. Use the touchscreen Settings menu to connect to your network. If your network configuration utilizes a MAC filter, you may need to whitelist the instrument MAC address (found in Network Settings on the Miro Canvas touchscreen Settings menu).
4. Ensure that your network supports the following ports: TCP 8883, 8443, 443, and 53, as these are required for the instrument to interact with the cloud platform.
Maintaining a constant internet connection is critical for software updates, new protocol uploads, and troubleshooting support. It is recommended to run Miro Diagnostics weekly to test the core functionality of the instrument. If you encounter any issues during the network connection process, please contact Miroculus Technical Support for further assistance.
