To install the circa LIGHTING RL 5134 Roark Rectangular Pendant, follow these steps:
1. Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
2. Remove the collar loop (C) from the chain (F) by removing the quick link (E).
3. Install the mounting plate (M) to the junction box and secure it with the mounting screws (I).
4. Secure the collar loop (C) to the mounting plate (M) using pliers to tighten the locknut.
5. Install the canopy (B) to the collar loop (C) by securing it with the collar ring (D).
6. Determine the desired overall length and the amount of chain (F) needed. Shorten the chain using chain pliers, keeping the extra chain.
7. Attach the hanging rods (H) to the hub (G) and eyelets (J). Secure quick links at the end of the rods.
8. Attach the chain (F) to the collar loop (C) and to the hub (G) using quick links (E).
9. Thread the fixture wire and ground wire through the hub (G) and chain (E).
Note: When you reach the collar loop (C), ensure there is no tension on the wires. Cut excess wires, leaving about 12" to reach the junction box.
10. Separate the two sides of the molded wire and strip insulation on each side by 5/8".
11. Loosen the collar ring (D) and let the canopy (B) slip down the chain (F) carefully.
12. Twist all fixture wires together and slip them through the center hole of the collar loop (C).
Note: Untwist the wires and separate them to prepare for connection.
13. Wrap the fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding xxxx (see diagram 1). Continue the fixture ground wire and connect it to the supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using a wire nut (L).
Note: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.
14. Connect the fixture neutral wire (ribbed) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using a wire nut (L).
15. Connect the fixture hot wire (smooth with markings) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using a wire nut (L).
Caution: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
16. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them into the junction box.
17. Install the canopy (B) to the collar loop (C) by securing it with the collar ring (D).
18. Insert bulbs into the sockets.
