To clean and maintain the WMF 0413140041 Kettle 0.8 L, follow these steps:
1. Remove the mains plug and allow the device to cool down.
2. Do not immerse the device in water. Instead, clean it with a damp cloth using a little washing-up fluid, and then dry it off.
3. Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
4. If rust spots appear on the stainless steel surface, they are deposits adhered to the surface. Remove them immediately with a stainless steel cleanser.
5. The strainer insert in the pour spout can be removed for cleaning when the lid is open. Press its upper clip upward to remove it. When inserting it back, place the strainer in the middle of the base and then snap it forward into place.
For descaling, it is recommended to use a high-quality commercial descaling agent. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, especially regarding subsequent cleaning with clear water. Suitable descaling agents contain inhibitors that protect the appliance against damage to seals and surfaces, do not cause additional deposits, and have no taste. Do not use descaling agents that are unsuitable for your appliance, such as substances based purely on vinegar or citric acid. Keep descaling agents out of reach of children and avoid inhaling any steam given off during descaling.
Please note that the warranty does not cover damage caused by using unsuitable descaling agents or failure to follow the descaling instructions.
