To set up the Prodigy AutoCode Blood Glucose Meter, follow these steps:
1. Insert the batteries: Open the battery cover on the back of the meter and insert two AAA alkaline batteries.
2. Enter setup mode: Press and hold the "SET" button located in the battery compartment. The meter will enter setup mode and the voice prompt will say, "Your Prodigy meter is on. Please wait. Setting mode. English."
3. Select language: Use the "M" button to select the desired language option (L-1 for English, L-2 for Spanish, L-3 for French, L-4 for Arabic). Press the "SET" button to confirm the selection.
4. Set volume level: The meter will display a number from 1 to 3, indicating the speaking volume level. Use the "M" button to select the desired volume level. Press the "SET" button to confirm the selection.
5. Set date and time: The meter will display the year, month, date, hour, and minutes. Use the "M" button to adjust each setting. Press the "SET" button to confirm each selection.
6. Select unit of measurement: The meter will display the unit of measurement (mg/dL or mmol/L). Use the "M" button to select the desired unit. Press the "SET" button to confirm the selection.
7. Delete memory (optional): If you want to clear all memory, press and hold the "M" button for four seconds until both "dEL" and "M" flash. Press the "M" button again to delete all memory.
8. Complete setup: Press the "SET" button to complete the setup process. The meter will display "OFF" and turn off.
