Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to properly use the AccuMed CMS-50D1 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter:
1. Insert the two AAA-size batteries into the device in the proper direction.
2. Open the clip on the front panel of the device.
3. Place the patient's finger into the rubber cushions of the clip, making sure the finger is in the right position. Clip the finger securely.
4. Press the switch button once on the front panel to turn on the device.
5. Ensure that the patient's finger is not shaking and that they remain calm during the measuring process. It is recommended that the patient be resting and not moving.
6. Read the information directly from the screen display. The device will show the pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) value, pulse rate (PR) value, and pulse intensity (bar-graph).
7. If needed, you can press the button on the front panel to change the direction of the screen display.
8. After use, turn off the device by pressing and holding the switch button for a few seconds.
9. Clean the device according to the cleaning and disinfection instructions provided in the manual.
