To customize the Logitech G300S Optical Gaming Mouse, you can use the Logitech Gaming Software. Here's how you can do it:
1. Download and install the Logitech Gaming Software from the Logitech website (www.logitech.com/support/g300s).
2. Once installed, open the Logitech Gaming Software.
3. Connect your Logitech G300S Optical Gaming Mouse to your computer using the USB cable.
4. In the Logitech Gaming Software, you will see the three onboard profiles of the G300S. These profiles are preconfigured for MMO games, FPS games, and Productivity.
5. Click on the profile you want to customize. For example, if you want to customize the MMO profile, click on Profile 1.
6. In the profile customization window, you can customize the buttons, tracking behavior, and illumination color.
7. To customize the buttons, simply click on the button you want to customize and assign a function to it. You can choose from a list of predefined functions or create your own macro.
8. To customize the tracking behavior, you can adjust the DPI settings. The G300S allows you to choose from four DPI settings: 500 DPI, 1000 DPI, 1500 DPI, and 2500 DPI. You can also set the default DPI to select when switching profiles.
9. To customize the illumination color, if your G300S has RGB lighting, you can select the desired color from the color palette.
10. Once you have finished customizing the profile, click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.
11. Repeat the above steps for the other profiles if you want to customize them as well.
Note: It is recommended to try the default profile settings in practice games before making any changes. Additionally, when using the FPS profile, it is advisable to practice using the in-game DPI increase/decrease mouse buttons before engaging in serious play. You can also customize each game according to your specific sensitivity switching needs.
