To set up the YiOBYiOR 300Mbps U8 Wireless WiFi Repeater Range Extender Router, you have two methods: using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or using a web browser. Here are the steps for each method:
Method One - Using WPS:
1. Plug the extender into an electrical outlet near your host router.
2. Press the WPS button on your host router.
3. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender for 1 second.
4. Wait for the LED on the extender to turn solid green.
Method Two - Using a Web Browser:
1. Connect your mobile phone or computer to the U8 router's network.
2. Launch a web browser and type "http://192.168.11.1" in the address field.
3. If it's your first time connecting to the repeater, the login page will automatically pop up. Use "admin" (all lowercase) as the password to log in.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the repeater mode.
After setting up the repeater, you may need to relocate it to achieve a better signal quality. Plug it into an electrical outlet between your router and the Wi-Fi "dead" zone. The LED on the extender should be solid green for a good signal quality.
