To ignite the burner on the GYMAX GYM04680 Infrared Grill, follow these steps:
1. Ensure all the burner control knobs are in the "OFF" position.
2. Slowly turn on the gas by turning the LP gas cylinder valve or regulator.
3. Push in and turn the corresponding burner control xxxx on the appliance to the "HIGH" position and keep pressing together with the igniter until a stable flame appears.
4. If the burner does not light within 45 seconds, turn the burner control xxxx to "OFF", wait 5 minutes for the gas to clear, and repeat the above procedure. Use the manual ignition directions if it still will not light.
5. When the burner is lit, turn the burner control xxxx to the desired heat setting.
If the burner still fails to light after several attempts, you can try the manual ignition procedure provided in the user manual. It involves using a match and the match holder located in the grill cabinet.
