To properly solder and assemble the Honeywell SS41F6 Bipolar Position Sensor, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here are the steps:
1. Ensure that the leads of the sensor are adequately supported during any forming or shearing operation to prevent stress inside the plastic case.
2. Limit exposure to high temperatures during soldering. The recommended temperature for wave soldering is 250°C to 260°C (482°F to 500°F) for a maximum of three seconds.
3. If burrs are present, they are allowed only if the full lead length will pass through a 0.68 mm (0.027 in) diameter hole.
4. Do not use pressure wash for cleaning the sensor. High-pressure streams could force contaminants into the package. Instead, use an agitated rinse to clean the sensor.
Please note that failure to comply with these instructions may result in product damage.
