To install the Day-Brite CFI FSSEZ440L835-UNV Fluxstream EZ LED luminaire, follow these steps:
1. Remove the luminaire from the carton and inspect it for any shipping damage.
2. The luminaire has knockout holes for wiring access on the back of the housing and on the side of each end cap.
3. If you are using hanger brackets for installation:
a. Mount the hanger brackets to the structure using #8 screws (minimum 2 brackets per luminaire).
b. Snap the luminaire into the brackets, ensuring that the mounting bracket is secured into the reveal of the luminaire. Tighten the mounting bracket with the provided #8-18 x 2" bolt.
c. Secure the LED board to the housing by looping the tether over the "T" lance.
d. For stand-alone installation, bring the customer supply wires into the luminaire through the preferred knockout hole and make the electrical connection according to the electrical code.
e. For continuous row mounting, follow steps a, b, and c for each luminaire. Insert a customer-supplied chase xxxx and lock nut into the knockout hole on each end of the adjoining fixtures.
4. If you are using the optional chain/hanger kit (purchased separately):
a. Remove the V-Hook and chains from the bag pack.
b. Hook the V-Hook into each end of the luminaire in the provided holes. Attach the chains to the permanent structure of the building.
5. If you are using the cable/stem mounting assembly (purchased separately):
a. Mount the cable or stem to the building structure above the luminaire.
b. Remove the stem mount knockout holes at each end of the fixture.
c. Mount the cable or stem to the fixture in the knockout hole using the included hardware.
6. Snap in the 4' LED board by inserting the driver cover into the housing. Start one side of the board into the groove and snap the LED board into the housing by pushing the opposite end until it snaps into place.
7. Snap on the lens by angling one side in and then pivoting the opposite end around to snap in the other side.
8. For fixture maintenance and accessing the wiring compartment, refer to the instructions provided in the manual.
9. It is important to note that this fixture is designed for permanent installation in ordinary (non-hazardous) locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. Do not use it in areas of limited ventilation or in high ambient enclosures, as the lamp and fixture operate at high temperatures and can cause fire and severe burns if in contact with combustible materials.
10. The installation and servicing of this product should be performed by a qualified electrician or service personnel.
