To install and set up the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch, please follow these steps:
1. Determine the location: Decide where you want to install the dimmer switch. It can be mounted on a wall using the included adhesive tape or attached to any magnetic surface.
2. Install the batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the dimmer switch and insert one CR2032 button cell battery (included).
3. Pair the dimmer switch with your lights: If you have a Hue Bridge, follow these steps:
a. Open the Philips Hue app on your smartphone or tablet.
b. Go to the "Settings" menu and select "Accessory setup."
c. Tap on the "+" icon to add a new accessory.
d. Press and hold the "Hue" button on the dimmer switch for a few seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking.
e. The app will detect the dimmer switch, and you can assign it to specific lights or rooms.
4. Set up light scenes: The dimmer switch comes with four preset light recipes: Read, Relax, Energize, and Concentrate. To switch between these scenes, press the Hue button on the dimmer switch.
5. Customize the dimmer switch: If you have a Hue Bridge, you can further customize the dimmer switch by adding your favorite light scenes or setting the perfect light based on the time of day. Use the Philips Hue app to configure these settings.
