To mount the FESTO DYSS Shock Absorber, you have two options: in a through-hole or in a through thread. Here are the steps for each mounting option:
1. Mounting in a through-hole:
- Insert the shock absorber into the desired stop position.
- Secure the shock absorber with lock nuts. Tighten the lock nuts with the recommended tightening torque.
- Make sure not to exceed the maximum torque when screwing or holding the internal hexagon socket/slot.
- Finally, tighten the lock nut to the recommended tightening torque.
2. Mounting in a through thread:
- xxxx the shock absorber into the desired stop position.
- Again, make sure not to exceed the maximum torque when screwing or holding the internal hexagon socket/slot.
- Tighten the lock nut to the recommended tightening torque.
It is important to align the product properly by observing the maximum deviation of the direction of force from the shock absorber axis. The mass should meet the piston rod and the fixed stop over a wide area.
Please refer to the FESTO DYSS Shock Absorber Instruction Manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on the mounting process.
