To properly install the PRAXIS M24 ROAD Bottom Bracket, follow these steps:
1. Make sure to read the service instructions of your crank carefully before installing the bottom bracket.
2. It is recommended to have the product installed by a qualified bicycle technician who has the necessary tools and experience.
3. Before riding, check that there are no loose, worn, or damaged parts that could cause riding problems or serious injury.
4. Ensure that your clothing does not get caught in the chain while riding to avoid falling off the bicycle.
5. Check the tension and condition of the chain. If the tension is weak or the chain is damaged, replace it to prevent it from breaking and causing a potential fall.
6. Use a torque wrench to check the final tightening torque of the main crank bolt and chainring bolts. Re-check the tightening torques after riding approximately 100 km (60 miles). Main crank bolt should be torqued to 48-55Nm, and chainring bolts to 8-10Nm.
7. Check that the bottom bracket shell is parallel to ensure optimal shifting performance.
8. Before riding, inspect the crankarms for any cracks. If cracks are present, do not ride the bicycle as the crankarm may break and cause a fall.
9. Check for play or looseness in the bottom bracket connection before riding. Periodically retighten the crank, chainring bolts, and pedals.
10. If you feel any looseness or play in the bearings, have the bottom bracket inspected or replaced.
11. Use only 10 or 11-speed chains by KMC, Shimano, or Campagnolo to ensure the designed performance.
12. Normal wear and deterioration resulting from regular use are not covered by the warranty.
13. If you have any questions regarding installation, adjustment, maintenance, or operation, contact a professional bicycle dealer or Praxis Works.
14. Praxis Works assumes no responsibility for damages or injuries related to improperly installed components.
