To install the VTS4D-K1 Series Vapor Tight Linear LED Light, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the product is installed and serviced by a certified electrician in accordance with applicable national, state, and local building and electrical codes.
2. Before performing any installation or wiring procedures, switch off the main power source and circuit breakers to reduce the risk of electric shock.
3. Avoid looking directly into the lamp when it is illuminated.
4. Make sure all mounts are securely attached and capable of supporting the weight of the fixture. Failure to properly support the fixture may result in damage or injury, for which the manufacturer does not assume responsibility.
5. Check the product label for specific electrical specifications related to installation. Improper installation may void the warranty.
6. If you are using the optional motion sensor, attach it to the tray where it lines up with the cutout. Make all wiring connections according to the provided wiring diagram.
7. Measure and mount the provided mounting brackets.
8. Open the housing by unlatching the lens and setting it aside.
9. Run a cord (not included) through the watertight connector and attach the connector to the fixture housing. If running the fixture in series, use the other watertight connector to run the wiring out of the opposite end of the fixture.
10. Connect the wiring according to the wiring diagram.
11. Reassemble the fixture and press the light into the mounting brackets.
