To test the transducer before installation, follow these steps:
1. Confirm that the control head is connected to power according to the control head installation guide.
2. Connect the transducer cable to the control head.
3. Lower the transducer into the water.
4. Power on the control head by pressing the POWER key.
5. If the transducer is detected, the control head will start Normal mode.
6. Select a 2D Sonar View to display on-screen.
7. If the bottom is visible on-screen with a digital depth readout, the transducer is working properly.
8. Power off the control head by pressing and holding the POWER key.
9. Remove the transducer from the water.
10. Disconnect the transducer cable from the control head.
By following these steps, you can ensure that the transducer is functioning correctly before proceeding with the installation.
