To program your Lyric3 or Lyric4 hearing aid using the Lyric programming wand, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Lyric programming wand to your fitting computer by plugging the USB cable into an available USB port. No driver installation is required.
2. Once connected, the status LED on the wand will turn green, indicating that the wand is ready for use.
3. Hold the tip of the wand close to the lateral end of the Lyric hearing aid that you want to program.
4. Press the programming button on the wand according to the ear you want to fit. The status LED will flash green during programming.
5. After 3 seconds, the status LED will turn back to solid green, indicating that the wand is ready for the next programming procedure.
6. The Lyric hearing aid will play a double beep to indicate that it has been programmed. If programming is performed in the ear, ask the patient to pay attention and confirm the beeps to ensure successful programming.
Note: When the Lyric hearing aid is programmed for the first time, it will switch from "Ship Mode" to ON when successfully programmed. This can be verified by listening for feedback or using a listening stethoscope.
If an error occurs during programming, the status LED will flash orange for 3 seconds before turning back to green. In this case, repeat the programming procedure. If any other malfunctions occur with the wand, the status LED will turn red. In that case, reboot the wand by disconnecting and reconnecting it to the USB port.
