To install the Miele DA 6698 W Wall Mounted Rangehood, please follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to read the Operating and Installation Instructions provided with the product.
2. Ensure that there is a solid surface behind the wall where you plan to mount the rangehood. This is important for proper installation and safety.
3. The wall anchors included in the packaging are not for use in the USA/CDN. You may need to purchase suitable wall anchors separately if required.
4. Take caution during the installation process as there may be sharp edges that can cause harm. Wear protective gloves if necessary.
5. Determine the desired height for the rangehood installation. It is recommended to install the rangehood at a height of 24-30 inches (60-76 cm) above the cooking surface for optimal performance.
6. Mark the desired height on the wall and use a level to ensure it is straight.
7. Locate the wall studs behind the marked area and mark their positions on the wall.
8. Drill pilot holes into the marked positions on the wall studs.
9. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using suitable screws and ensure it is securely fastened to the wall studs.
10. Connect the electrical wiring according to the local electrical codes. It is recommended to consult a qualified electrician for this step if you are not familiar with electrical work.
11. Lift the rangehood and align it with the mounting bracket. Slide the rangehood onto the bracket until it locks into place.
12. Ensure that the rangehood is securely attached to the mounting bracket.
13. Test the rangehood by turning it on and checking for proper operation.
