To install the CARSON Xploview Software for Digital Microscopes on your Windows PC, please follow these steps:
1. Extract the zip file: Right-click on the downloaded zip file and select "Extract All" or a similar option. This will create a new folder with the extracted files.
2. Run the installer: Open the extracted folder and locate the installer file. It should have a recognizable name, such as "Xploview Installer.exe". Double-click on the installer file to run it.
3. Handle publisher verification prompt: During the installation process, you may encounter a prompt stating that the publisher could not be verified. To proceed with the installation, select the option to "Run" the software.
4. Connect the USB Microscope: Before running Xploview, make sure to plug the USB Microscope into a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on your computer. Windows may detect the device and automatically update the driver if needed. Wait until a popup appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen, indicating that "Your Device is Ready to Use."
5. Run Xploview: Once the USB Microscope is connected, you can run Xploview. Look for the Xploview icon on your desktop or in the Start menu and double-click on it to launch the software.
